In fact, Grubhub is poised to launch and turn into a reality the biggest single-site robot food delivery operation in the country.
The operations are spanning over a whopping 40 campuses in the United States. And, thanks to Avride, the collaboration has already now completed over 100,000 autonomous deliveries at The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus. How about that? Imagine this.
Avride pertains to a company that takes charge of developing and operating autonomous vehicles, including self-driving cars and delivery robots. The company was formed by engineers from the former Yandex self-driving team and focuses on creating safer and more efficient automated transportation solutions for both passengers and goods. The company partners with others, such as Uber Eats and Grubhub, to deploy its autonomous vehicles for deliveries.
