For easier access to the trendiest restaurant offers, Grubhub, one of the most in-demand online and mobile platforms for food orders and deliveries, customers turn to them. Yet, since it has faced competition, such as from Uber Eats and Slice, its users’ trust has waned. This report has more.
Grubhub’s app in a nutshell
You know Grubhub as an Internet-based app offering food deliveries bringing bestsellers and fun gastronomic options, from casual dining establishments to fast-food chains, to its customers’ tables. With this platform, you can right away order the food you want and have them in your space, whether your home or your office, easily. Plus, you can ask for groceries, too.
Grubhub’s app works this way: tap into your cravings and launch the app. Once opened, you can select from a wide range of restaurants for food and stores for groceries. For instance, you’ve chosen Burger King. How its actual restaurant showcases its menu in person goes the same way as how you’ll see the food selections from the app. Simply choose what you like.
Placing your order is quite faster. Just like shopping online, your cravings will be prepared right after you’ve added them to your food cart in the app, even updating you where the driver is already. Want more flexible options? You can either use your credit card or pay right as the food or groceries arrive at your doorstep. Grubhub’s way is pretty straightforward.
What customers are saying lately
Things were working quite well, considering that process, with customers even saying how the app is great and offers the best prices in their vicinity.
“Great app. Good prices and a nice variety of places to order from,” reviewed Noa Guttman on the app’s official Google Play page. “The app itself is [very user-friendly, never] had any bugs or issues. Their customer service is also good. Always solved any issues I had with an order.”
However, as of press time, right as the Ridesharing Forum team looked around, the most recent reviews and comments on the app are generally negative.
Just a few weeks ago, Grubhub customer Scorpio Arias, complained about the unaccountability of the drivers when she used the app.
“Within the past 24 hours, my orders were ‘delivered’ to random places despite my instructions and, within the past five days, three total. Well, thanks to this terrible service, I’ll be taking a break from [Grubhub].”
Other customers were also irritated, though they took it lightly, yet their grievances were showing in their in-app reviews.
“Recent app change is terrible,” commented customer Justin Tapp, just before last year’s New Year celebrations. “Requires phone number and address confirmation again, then hangs constantly unless you figure out you have to hit “change”, even though you don’t need to change your address because it’s the same address you’ve been using, and then confirm it, again. Unintuitive.”
