Get To Know Today's Largest Uber Black Fleet Operator In India + New Uber Grocery Partners Unveiled

It’s official! Internet cab booking platform WTi Cabs is now the largest Uber Black fleet operator in India.

This is interesting since Uber usually operates its own fleet and even acquires other ridesharing platforms. But this time, it’s different since there’s a third-party company operating Uber Cars.

WTi Cabs operates premium vehicles in key South Asian cities, such as Dubai, Mumbai, and Bangalore. This company’s fleet includes SUVs and sedans, with car brands and models such as the Toyota Hyryder and MG ZS EV in those three cities.

Luxury premium travel

WTI Cabs has been the go-to car rental service provider of several Indians and tourists in this country for airport transfers, outstation trips, hourly rentals, and even corporate transportation services across the nation.

“Our partnership with Uber for its Uber Black fleet reinforces our expertise in luxury premium travel,” stated Ashok Vashist, the CEO of WTi Cabs.

The company is known for its high service standards by pairing its strong and well-managed fleet with an unwavering focus on high-quality passenger experiences for passengers who want to invest in experiences.

Likewise, the company places its focus on training its roster of chauffeurs via curated programs to guarantee top-tier service quality and safety. Additionally, WTi Cabs follows set processes to standardize its operations and maintain consistency in service delivery.

You can book WTi Cabs’ Uber Black taxis in the three aforementioned cities via the official Uber India app.

“Our commitment to excellence in premium mobility aligns seamlessly with Uber’s mission to offer reliable, safe, and high-quality rides. This collaboration marks a meaningful step toward redefining urban transportation for discerning riders,” Vashist added.

More regional grocery partners

As you know, Uber is more than just a ridesharing app, but it is also where you can order your favorite food cravings and grocery needs.

So, Uber Eats has added new regional grocery partners to its roster. These include the Northeast’s Big Y and King Kullen, the Midwest and Texas’ – Superlo Foods, Lunds & Byerlys, and Foxtrot – and California’s Vallarta Supermarkets.

This announcement came after it bolstered its commitment to growing its grocery category with “beloved regional retailers” to help cater to more localized tastes and preferences. This is part of their efforts to see “significant growth in its grocery division.”

Previously, Uber Eats is signed up with national grocers, such as Costco and Albertsons, and co-regional grocers like The Fresh Market, Giant Eagle, Morton Williams, Save Mart, and Weis Markets.

“Our goal is to provide customers with an unparalleled selection of grocery options, from national brands to the local retailers they trust most,” Hashim Amin, Uber’s head of grocery and retail for North America, talked about this update.

This appears to be a follow-through of Uber, which has partnerships with its rival Instacart, ironically yet interestingly to provide Uber Eats-powered restaurant deliveries to Instacart customers, as well as integrate the Carrot Ads platform of Instacart into its own advertising system in America.

Uber Eats is Uber’s food and grocery delivery platform. Several restaurants and stores are listed here, which you can access via the official app.
