Get More Confident To Request Returns, Thanks To TikTok Shop & DoorDash

Your favorite online stores provide the option for you to request returns, but not DoorDash? Here’s the scoop.

DoorDash’s return options

DoorDash does not allow retail returns until recently. Returns are very helpful for customers because what if the item is broken, used, or damaged? They can’t be left paying for something they do not want, and so online shopping platforms process returns. And this aspect is much more needed over the Internet than physical stores like shopping malls because, girl, it’s easier to return items when purchased from a shopping mall, isn’t it?

Frequent shopper Dida Manzano likes to shop online, but there was a time when she bought Dried Pineapples from Thailand, as her relatives wanted more of these when she distributed these to them from her visit, but she received Dried Mangoes instead of the pineapples. She used the return option of the online store, and while she wasn’t able to literally return the items, she was offered a refund. Very challenging, right?

So, weeks ago, DoorDash announced it is accepting retail returns, and treating this “as the key to winning more sales.”

But, customers will have to pay return fees when they use this option, specifically $7.99, or almost $8, but though they are paying fees, it’s the convenience. No need for the customer to travel to a warehouse, or DoorDash office, but DoorDash is to dispatch a driver to pick the return in as little as 30 minutes, meaning you don’t have to pack and return the order themselves.

This is now live in select cities, and will roll-out in full this November. Exciting!
