As winter approaches and millions prepare their skis and boards for mountain adventures, Uber is introducing a new seasonal offering to help you reach your favorite winter destinations worldwide: Uber Ski.”

Best skiing destinations in the world

To complement your skiing experience with Uber, Ridesharing Forum has curated three of the best skiing destinations in the world, starting with Zermatt in Switzerland. Yes, the inspiration of Toblerone.

Zermatt is a town beneath and at the foot of the Matterhorn, the Toblerone hill. It offers some of the globe’s most reliable snow and highest pistes in the European continent.

Tourists could carve through long, scenic runs that cross into Italy, then unwind in cosy mountain huts serving rösti and fondue. If you prefer to tone down your skiing aspirations, you may enjoy winter hiking trails, picturesque car-free streets, and the Gornergrat railway for panoramic glacier views.

Second is miles away from Switzerland. Lose yourself in Japan, specifically in Niseko. Niseko is famous for its deep, dry, powder-rich snow that draws skiers seeking soft, playful terrain. The four interlinked resorts offer tree runs, backcountry access, and excellent night skiing. After a day on the slopes, travellers can relax in natural onsens, explore Hirafu’s lively dining scene, or join guided snowshoe walks across peaceful volcanic landscapes.

Of course, Whistler Blackcomb, the biggest ski resort in North America. This ski destination is leveling up skiing for all interested leisurely travelers, from high alpine bowls to family-friendly greens.

Travelers may try heli-skiing, ziplining through snowy forests, or snowmobiling to mountain viewpoints. Its pedestrian village buzzes with après-ski lounges, art museums, and spas, making it a complete winter getaway. For more ridesharing news, keep browsing this Ridesharing Forum site!
