Fort Worth Uber driver sought for sexual assault on a female passenger

A report that came into Fort Worth police claims that 40-year-old Uber driver Hashem Ramezanpour accepted a ride from a 77-year-old woman last month and during the ride, he parked his white 2016 Honda Civic and assaulted her. Ramezanpour is facing charges of aggravated sexual assault, and a warrant was put out for his arrest. According to the victim, she was riding back home from a church meeting in Dallas when the driver stopped his car along Highway 377 in North Fort Worth in a dark and secluded wooded area near her home. After the driver sexually assaulted her, he then drove her home.

According to police, there is a possibility that Ramezanpour has fled the country. They also ask anyone to contact them if they have any information about Ramezanpour.

Uber spokesperson stated that no one should have to undergo such degrading and horrific acts of violence and that they are working together with law enforcement investigating the incident. The driver's information was shared with law enforcement, and he has been banned from using the app.
