Finland’s Wolt Expands In Uzbekistan + Its Newest Features For Its Merchant Advertising Service

Food delivery services are now global, so you will always find flagship platforms in almost every country, such as Finland. In this northern European country, the market is led by Wolt.

Headquartered in Helsinki, this DoorDash-owned company delivers food and merchandise. Via its app or website, customers can order food and household goods from its restaurant and merchant partners. They will then either pick up their orders or have them delivered by Wolt’s courier partners. Wolt also has its own chain of grocery stores known as Wolt Market.

Recently, Wolt has introduced new features for its merchant advertising service and has expanded in Uzbekistan. Here’s the scoop.

Wolt in Tashkent

Wolt in Uzbekistan has announced it is expanding its geographic reach by offering services in Tashkent, part of the Sergeli district.

Residents in this area will be able to enjoy quick and convenient services, ordering food and products from their favorite restaurants and merchants, just as how the rest of the world for Wolt do it.

“It is important for us to consider the cultural characteristics and traditions of each region where we operate. Customer comfort and respect are always our top priorities, even if it means temporarily suspending certain advertising activities,” stated Stefanos Papaevangelou, Wolt’s representative in Tashkent.

This expansion is part of Wolt’s strategy to improve convenience and accessibility for its customers. The platform aims to quicken up its delivery process and make it accessible to each and every resident of Tashkent, as well as expand its partner retailers.

Meanwhile, in celebration of Ramadan, Wolt Uzbekistan has decided to refrain from traditional outdoor advertising of food products during daytime hours. Though founded in Europe, Wolt respects the cultural and religious values of its customers.

New features

New features mean new exciting experiences for customers. Wolt Global has started to introduce new features for its advertising services for merchants. These features are:

  • Multi-venue campaigns, where merchants have the capacity to create a single ad campaign across multiple venues. This feature is designed to maintain budget efficiency and offer merchants better control over their advertising spending.
  • New target audiences, wherein partners can target unique customer segments, without having to overlap with existing customer base.
  • Finally, a data collaboration platform that promises secure data tie-ups, seamless audience activation on ads and promotions, and precise measurements. This has been developed in partnership with AppsFlyer, established in Israel.

Catalina Salazar, the Global Head of Wolt Ads, stated, "We’re thrilled to be able to introduce major improvements for our enterprise partners. The new features set out to make advertising across multiple venues simpler, and help our partners boost incremental sales they get through Wolt Ads.”

She added their goal is always to “drive meaningful growth” for their partners “without overwhelming customers with excessive content or compromising on privacy.”
