While ridesharing trips are almost always safe, if not completely always, this ridesharing service operating in British Columbia is adding a new option to make rides more accessible and safer for families.
Uride, which has been operating in that area for around a year now, recently introduced a booster seat option, which is now available on rides in all communities in British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta, and New Brunswick.

Aside from safer rides, there is also a pet-friendly ride feature that makes it possible not only for human passengers but also for your furry kids to ride safely and comfortably. Though, it’s not with Uber or Lyft, sadly, but with Uride.
“We know that for families, getting around with children can be challenging. The booster seat feature is about providing safer, stress-free travel for families with small children. We are looking to fill the gap for this much needed feature in ridesharing services,” stated the CEO of Uride.
Uride works just like Uber or Lyft. Open the platform, enter your destination, select the type of vehicle you like, then request the ride after confirmation.

- Alberta: Grande Prairie, Medicine Hat, and Red Deer
- New Brunswick: Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John
- Prince Edward Island: Charlottetown
