It’s official. The FIFA World Cup 2026 – a tri-venue tournament happening in the USA, Mexico, and Canada – won’t be complete without DoorDash.
“Football isn’t just a sport, it’s the global language of the world connecting neighborhoods across countries and continents,” stated Kofi Amoo-Gottfried, the DoorDash CMO.
Amoo-Gottfried added that partnering with FIFA will allow the football federation and tournament “to celebrate that shared goal,” helping fans make the most out of every soccer match, whether it’s enjoying the features of DoorDash, or bringing the match-day experience to a whole new level.
“For us, it’s simple: football connects the world and so do our three brands," he went on.
So, here are the milestone news pieces. DoorDash is the Official Tournament Supporter of not just the FIFA World Cup 2026, but also the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.
According to DoorDash’s newsroom official, this partnership spans nine countries – the USA, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, and the United Kingdom – and includes the participation of the various brands within DoorDash’s worldwide portfolio.
The next edition of the FIFA World Cup is happening in three countries, namely Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
Some of the soccer players to watch for in the upcoming tournament are Luis Diaz of Colombia, Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, Mohamed Salah of Egypt, Gabriel of Brazil, Harry Kane of England, Abdukodir Khusanov of Uzbekistan, and so much more.
Ronaldinho, a FIFA World Cup star who won the tournament with Brazil in 2022, is delighted to hear this, saying, “Joining DoorDash for this campaign was special because it took me back to how I started my career – wanting to have fun with the ball and creating something magical. For me, football has always been about trying the impossible, making people smile, and sharing that joy with fans.”
As the official tournament support partner, or rather, the official on-demand pick-up and delivery support, DoorDash is to help connect fans with the energy and thrill of the games through a series of localized campaigns, digital activations, and community-driven experiences vividly designed to celebrate the global spirit of soccer that the world has come to love.
“DoorDash captures that same spirit of global connection, celebrating the game and flavors that connect us all. I hope fans, old and new, feel that same excitement, whether they’re watching at home or in the stands,” the football star continued.
The FIFA administration is “incredibly pleased to welcome DoorDash into the FIFA Tournament Supporter family.”
Romy Gai, the chief of the business division of the tournament, said, “The FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup unite billions of fans, and through this collaboration we will create new ways for them to share the moment. DoorDash’s strength in local markets and its focus on connection makes them a perfect fit for our landmark tournaments.”
