DoorDash For The Midterms & DoorDash With The Money In The White House

If Democratic former United States president Barack Obama was named in papers, “the black man in the White House,” the current Republican president Donald Trump could be hailed “the money in the White House.”

And this money in the White House, well, recently tipped a DoorDash delivery staff. However, rather, others called it a “publicity stunt,” and that it went wrong. These and more in this article.

Trump tips a DoorDash delivery rider

Three things: DoorDash was a nationwide, and probably global, sensation, earlier this week – a delivery rider for the app got tipped by the United States president, and the president is a “customer” with a unique style to thank the staff.

President Donald Trump welcomed DoorDash delivery driver Sharon Simmons to the White House as she dropped off a food order from McDonald’s. Whether the order was for Trump, for him and Melania, or for White House staff, why should the world know?

In an interesting turn of events, aside from the $100 tip, Trump also showed what he’s like as a DoorDash customer. Many of you have your own way of conversing with these people. You’d do a small talk – playing ignorant – or others will go above and beyond and… invite the staff over inside the house?!

Well, for President Trump, he simply wanted to ask the delivery driver on the spot about whom she voted for. Oh, my.

She also got asked about her opinion on taxes on tips, which she responded, “no tax on tips,” and how she helped this and her family financially when her husband was battling cancer. She added how this policy netted her $11,000 more than she would have earned otherwise if these delivery tips were taxed.

She was also asked whether men should play in women’s sports.

But, then it seems Trump falls into the second category.

“Well, you’re really nice. Would you like to do a little news conference with me with these people?” he asked Simmons. See the images of the meeting here.

‘Publicity stunt!’

On the other hand, others are calling it “publicity stunt,” but the White House was really the address where the food was delivered, right?

This is in line with President Trump’s defense of a post on social networking sites depicting him as Christ.

Is it really a stunt? Well, you may share your insights about this by signing up for your account on Ridesharing Forum, or share your thoughts on Kamala Harris thinking if she’s running for the highest position in the North American country two years from now, or if Hillary Clinton is, as well.

DoorDash, midterms

Meanwhile, there’s a recent DoorDash report tracking several purchases and showing inflation cooling ahead of the midterms, “though the cost of everyday essentials still varies widely across the country.”

The findings provide a more realistic look at how those changes are playing out for consumers, with affordability still largely shaped by where they live.

The report came from the State of Local Commerce, evolving spending patterns as price pressures ease and slope down across significant categories. For more news, stay with Ridesharing Forum!
