‘Do Better!’: Hollywood Actress Mandy Moore Calls Out Amazon After Delivering Her Parcel To Their Home Ravaged In LA Wildfires

For actress Mandy Moore, it doesn’t cause a dime for a delivery service to be a little bit empathetic.

On Tuesday, the Hollywood actress, who rose to fame with her song “Cry,” posted an eerie photo on her Instagram Story wherein a brown box that appears to have been from Amazon was mockingly resting on the steps of a completely leveled property.

The property was later revealed to be the home of her mother- and father-in-law that got devastated by the Los Angeles wildfires.

Her message to Amazon: “Do better.”

“Do better, Amazon. Can we not have better discretion than to leave a package at a residence that no longer exists? This is my mother and father-in-law’s home. Smh,” the Hollywood actress wrote in white text over the image.

Earlier, Moore also shared a carousel of devastating images of how the wildfire has ravaged their property.

“We were able to park and walk up our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now,” Moore said in the caption. “It’s not livable, but mostly intact.”

She added how they lost sections of their house, such as the studio, some instruments, their garage, and the back house.

“Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in laws. My brother and sister in law – 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends,” she further said.

The Los Angeles wildfires that struck the area at the beginning of this year were among the most devastating in world history. As of the end of the previous month, the wildfires have killed at least 29 people, forced more than 200,000 individuals to evacuate, and destroyed more than 18,000 homes and structures. Truly devastating.

Is it the fault of Amazon that failed to check whether the address is still standing or not? Nonetheless, the company has already issued an apology to the Hollywood actress.

"We’ve reached out to Ms. Moore via Instagram to apologize for this and to ask for more information from her in-laws so we’re better able to investigate what happened here,” Amazon stated. “For weeks, we’ve advised those who are delivering on our behalf in southern California to use discretion in areas that were impacted by wildfires – especially if it involves delivering to a damaged home – that clearly didn’t happen here.”

Moore is an actress, singer, and songwriter. Her most famous acts were during the 2000s, and she has also played roles in various movies, such as “The Princess Diaries,” “A Walk to Remember,” “How to Deal,” “Chasing Liberty,” “License to Wed,” and “The Darkest Minds.” She also voiced Rapunzel, the lead character in the Disney movie “Tangled.”

Apologies, Mandy!
