Delivery Is A Puppy’s Best Friend: DoorDash Celebrates National Pet Day!

Today, the world is celebrating Anime Day. It’s a breath of fresh air from the usual celebrations like New Year’s Eve, All Saints’ Day, Independence Day, and whatnot. It is about celebrating life’s tiniest moments. There’s National Popcorn Day, National Doughnut Day, and all the fun stuff.

On April 11th, National Pet Day was celebrated. This occasion is dedicated to pets who may not always get the companionship and attention they deserve. So, this day is a way for pet owners to look on the side from their busy schedules daily and recognize the importance of their pets so they, too, will feel loved.

So, why is the Ridesharing Forum team talking about this affair? Well, DoorDash has inked an exclusive partnership with GUT Miami to launch a National Pet Day campaign called “Dog-Friendly Since 2013.” GUT Miami is a full-service creative network.

Going back, Dog-Friendly Since 2013 sheds light on the most trivial connection between delivery platforms like DoorDash and pet care. You can guess it. Yes, when you don’t need to travel to a restaurant to try your cravings with the dressing up of your pet and grooming it, with deliveries to your home, you can spend more quality time with your furry friend without aggravating or disturbing others, such as those who are afraid of pets, for instance.

"With Dog-Friendly, we’re building on our brand platform Your Door to More by showing how DoorDash can unlock everyday happiness for pet owners nationwide,” stated Rafael Segri, head of creative at DoorDash.

That, not to mention several restaurants, coffee shops, and dessert shops prohibiting pets inside. This forces pet owners, even if they don’t like it, to leave their pups outside shops while those pups watch in horror as they munch on food they won’t even get to try with them on one table, just like at home. Such is very unbecoming of “National Pet Day.”

With the help of GUT Miami, DoorDash has collaborated with real businesses and mascots to create a campaign that is uber authentic and emotionally resonant. Something that every loving pet owner will recall.

“Dog owners have to make the tough call of leaving their best friends behind outside a restaurant, so through these beautiful visuals, we came up with a clever way of showing DoorDash as the solution. Through DoorDash, all dogs are allowed inside,” emphasized Juan Javier Peña, GUT Miami’s chief creative officer.

This campaign can be seen in person on billboards in Miami, Florida, in print in the Boston community, and in short movies and surprises on DoorDash’s social accounts.
