Closer Perspective Into How Stripe Will Manage Blockchain, Stablecoin Cryptocurrency Payments

Here’s a closer look into how Stripe will manage cryptocurrency payment processes on DoorDash. Yes, it’s going to be with Stripe.

You know the consumers’ issues – well, not every consumer – with Stripe, but it appears that Stripe is with Tempo. There are people nowadays who would like to update things online as if entrepreneurial dealings are happening in an instant.

To those who don’t know yet, Stripe pertains to a comprehensive, developer-friendly financial infrastructure platform letting businesses accept online and in-person payments, manage subscriptions, and handle monetary operations.

Stripe is said to support more than 135 currencies and global payment modes, making this popular for eCommerce, SaaS, and marketplaces to process transactions securely and efficiently. Stripe is quite very popular, so you must have heard it elsewhere.

However, Stripe isn’t ideal, and even perfectionists born perfectionists will spot the flaws. There are issues reported by consumers that include sudden account holds or closures due to automated risk checks, unexpected funds freezing, too high transaction fees for small enterprises, and complicated chargeback disputes. Computer science geeks report technical issues as well, from card errors to integration mishaps.

So, can Stripe handle these reported cryptocurrency payments on DoorDash? Previously, Ridesharing Forum reported that DoorDash will start accepting blockchain payments via a strategic partnership, and this partnership is with Tempo. It appears now that Tempo is actually with Stripe.

Tempo is a purpose-built, first-layer blockchain developed in cooperation with Paradigm and Stripe, specifically designed for high-throughput, low-cost stablecoin payments. This wasn’t heavily reported, and also Tempo never mentioned Stripe outright on its official site.

How do the payments with Tempo on DoorDash work? Well, via Stablecoins, not Bitcoins, since Stablecoins are said to be rather more convenient than the latter.

Andy Fang, the DoorDash co-founder, stated this is best for business, saying, “Global payments is complex in terms of what the requirements are for any different country. Figuring out a way to provide solutions to the end customer that feel frictionless, while integrating with rails that are dynamic enough to handle the different requirements of different countries, is at the heart of the complexity.”

So, Stripe will be standing there like a third-party manager, as Tempo, with utmost diligence and persistence, focuses on payout speed, cross-border costs, and transaction flexibilities that Stablecoins can offer.

Fang added, “If we can get merchants and Dashers their money faster, and do that in a way that’s affordable for them, that’s a no-brainer for the entire ecosystem.”

Settlements with these Stablecoins can be done within seconds, though tests show that merchants or the Dashers will need to wait longer. Foreign exchanges will also be convenient. Care to impart your insights on this matter? Sign up for that account today on this Ridesharing Forum website!
