More and more companies are preferring Uber Freight to handle their logistics, and chemical manufacturer OXEA is adding to that list.
Yes, the world’s number one ridesharing app has its freight division. Uber Freight allows you to easily find your next haul. With Uber Freight, you can spend more time hauling freight and less time negotiating with loads that are simple to find, book, and win. And the pricing? Well, honest.
Uber Freight also allows you to tap into one of the biggest managed transportation and multi-modal capacity networks in North America. It has, so far, done 18 million shipments in total yearly, and around 1.8 billion transactions annually, that’s right.
Now, chemical manufacturing plant Oxea picks Uber Freight as their official logistics partner, going beyond managing transportation per region, but as a single global network.
Uber Freight will then provided it more than outsourced transportation management by maneuvering daily transport across truckload, rail and ocean, and handle Oxea’s logistics network spanning the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.
Managing chemical logistics is difficult and complex, since moving items requires special equipment and handling, as well as documentation, and coordination among plants, carriers, and customers. To manage those components as a singular network makes it ever-easier for Uber Freight to have a clearer picture of what’s happening across the network of Oxea, and implement adjustments on a per-needed basis.
“What matters is the impact: a clearer, earlier view of our global network, faster identification of potential disruptions, and more reliable, proactive information for customers,” Bret Bement, the deputy of supply chain management at Oxea, told Ridesharingforum.com in an email release.
OXEA is among the world’s largest suppliers of oxo chemicals, offering its global customers a well-matched item portfolio along the whole value chain.
Oxo chemicals are compounds produced through the oxo process, also called hydroformylation, where olefins react with carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The process creates aldehydes that can be converted into alcohols, acids, and other derivatives. These chemicals are widely used in plastics, coatings, adhesives, lubricants, solvents, and specialty chemical manufacturing.
“We bring technology, data and logistics expertise together to run the operation, identify issues earlier and keep improving how the network performs,” Uber Freight Chief Commercial Officer D’Andrae Larry was stating. “That lets OXEA stay focused on its business and its customers.”
