Two new offers on Careem right now. The first is the simplification of solo food ordering, and the other is the opportunity to deliver gold coins to your doorstep. Whoa, Careem’s a Genie in a bottle! Here’s the story.
‘Meals:On’
Doesn’t solo ordering meals feel so expensive? Careem comes to the rescue! They got a new feature, “Meals:On,” in Abu Dhabi, designed to make solo food ordering a lot simpler, as well as high-quality meal deals even more affordable.
Solo meal orders are, more often than not, expensive. While there are discount bundles, there are times when you won’t like what’s in the bundle.
This is why Careem’s “Meals:On” program, part of its food division, offers you the chance to access a perfectly curated selection of complete and high-quality meal deals from the best restaurants globally, all under around $8. Cool. And you get a full meal already: your main dish, side salad, and drink.
Here’s the beauty of the program: You can access these in just a single location on Careem Food, then proceed to your easy one-tap ordering.
“Our purpose at Careem is to simplify life in the region, and with this launc,h we’re doing just that for solo diners,” Careem Food’s vice-president Jaskaran Singh, pointed out. “Whether it’s lunch during a busy workday or a quick dinner after hours, customers often feel overwhelmed by the choices and feel like they’re paying too much for each meal. Meals:On eliminates that friction by making high-quality, affordable meals available with minimal effort.”
The program covers several popular Abu Dhabi restaurants, including Wagamama, Wingstop, Just Burger, Zaatar w Zeit, Barbar, Papa Johns, Right Bite, Sushi Do, Costa, Allo Beirut, and so much more.
But wait, there’s more! Aside from those, Careem Plus members also enjoy delivery discounts or even free, benefits across Careem’s other services, exclusive discounts, member-only exclusive rates on international money transfers, and cashback on rides, among others.
Gold coins to your doorstep?
In a world where it’s more important to care for your family than to think about collecting gold – hey, you’re not a Pirate from “One Piece!” – the latter seems like a worthless habit.
But, for those who are still interested, super app Careem now allows residents in Dubai to have gold coins – and not just any gold coin, but 24-carat of these delivered to their homes in less than an hour.
Popular amongst Dubai residents and Indians in that country, Uber’s Careem has launched a campaign allowing you to purchase up to around $2,723 of physical gold in one order.
These gold products are from Tanishq, the flagship brand of India’s top jeweler, Titan Co.
However, surprise, surprise, Careem has not officially confirmed the gold delivery to the media.
This “everything app,” as Careem is popularly known, offers food and grocery deliveries, as well as car rentals and even money transfers. More so, you can even request laundry, home cleaning, and donation services via the app.
