Careem Signs New Deal With Zain Saudi Arabia

While the world is gearing up for this year’s holiday season and parties, Middle Eastern app Careem is signing new deals. This time, they did so with Zain Saudi Arabia. What is Zain, and what does the deal entail? Here’s the scoop.

Zain Saudi Arabia is not a clothing brand, or a fashion label, as it sounds like Zara, but it’s not a fashion brand. Rather, it is a leading provider of innovative technologies and digital lifestyle operations with a whopping eight significant markets across not merely the Middle East, but Africa.

It was in 1983, the year and the decade of retro songs, when it began life in Kuwait, as the region’s first mobile operator, and since the initiation of their expansion strategy in 2003, they have rapidly expanded.

Basically, the owner of Zain is Kuwait businesses. But, it is a Saudi Arabian telecommunications and digital items company, providing telecommunication services, 5G network, digital payment platforms, cloud computing, Internet of Things solutions, fiber services, and drones, at that.

Commenting on the deal, Zain Saudi Arabia CEO said: “Our mission is to work diligently to support the Vision 2030 by building knowledge based on diversification of the economy, and by actively contributing to achieving that goal. We, at Zain Saudi Arabia, are pleased to sign such agreements that are in line with our strategy to develop digital solutions and innovations, and support digital enterprises in the Saudi market,” the ever-private Zain Saudi Arabia’s CEO offered their statement.

So, this holiday season, this business partnership will improve the expansion of communication and information technology services across Saudi Arabia. It is a cooperation deal, so exciting things are coming.

This agreement will likewise contribute to achieving the objectives of the National Transformation Program 2020, a social movement and a political goal.

Under this deal, Zain will launch innovations that will further improve the operational efficiency of Careem. Through offering two standard numbers for the driver and passenger, the two partners will protect the best interests of these two parties.

And, since Careem leads the region in providing mobile car-booking services in the Saudi Arabian market, the young and ambitious Saudis with thousands of job opportunities will get the assistance they need, whether in life or in employment.
