Careem Is Making Dubai’s Summer Less Uncomfortable, Reveals Candidates For Most-Loved Restaurant Award

Careem, Dubai’s super-app, is onwards to greatness nowadays. While the world, particularly America, is currently experiencing the cold weather, fall, and winter today, it’s all about scorching summer heat in the Middle East.

In Dubai, temperatures are hot, hot, hot, reaching 34 degrees Celsius today, Friday, according to Google Weather.

This is why Careem is here to save the freaking hot day.

From the road to grocery houses

Careem has partnered with Panadol, a paracetamol-based pain reliever and fever reducer available around the United Arab Emirates, to make the lives of drivers a little bit easier.

Statistics show that as temperatures in the city reach even above 40 degrees Celsius, Careem’s drivers ride 300 kilometers daily, making at least around 35 trips. The heat could be alright, but without access to hydration, their lives are at stake.

Panadol and Careem launched the Relief for the Relentless campaign for this summer season, in partnership with select cloud kitchens, such as Kaykroo, Rebel Foods, and Epik Foods, to distribute free bottled waters to drivers across the Middle Eastern nation.

The idea behind this campaign is really simple: with every order placed, a bottle of water is handed to the driver, which is a huge help for them who need to stay hydrated as they make trips throughout the day.

More good news, not only are these Careem drivers getting free water drinks, but also Careem’s network of grocery warehouses, involving staff who need to manage high-density grocery orders across the entire day.
