Being a food delivery rider who has to ply the road daily, no matter the weather is no joke. It is serious business. Furthermore, in Malaysia, temperatures can get really warm.
However, this Malaysian food delivery rider chose to go the extra mile by handing out free drinks to three traffic enforcers or police on duty.
A TikToker managed to capture his generosity and shared it on the platform. The video, which lasted for almost a minute, which featured a touching piano music background from Yuda Pratama, showed the police officer conversing with the rider from GrabFood. His motorcycle was stopped near a McDonald’s, Petron, and Shell, as shown in the clip.
It took a while before the rider was able to prepare the treats. He even left his delivery jacket on the pavement as he prepared the goods coming form his orange bag. He then took out three iced drinks and handed them out. When he handed them over to the police officers, they were in full smiles. The rider and one of the enforcers shook hands before parting ways.
Truly heartwarming.
The TikToker was actually one of the traffic enforcers who received the reward, Wanfaizal85. It’s interesting that police officers also have TikTok accounts, right?
The traffic enforcer captioned his post: “While Abam and Abam’s friend were on duty, a [GrabFood] rider came to greet us while we were on duty and gave us water considering the hot weather… Alhamdulillah there are still people with noble hearts like this Grab rider… May your sustenance be blessed and your affairs be made easier… Amen… #SelamatBersamaJSPT”
Are you crying, too?
The video has already garnered a whopping 64,000 likes, and thousands of comments and shares, as of press time.
The TikTok community praised the goodwill.
“Look at his manners — he even placed his jacket down before putting the drinks on the floor. His mother raised him well,“ wrote a netizen named Petai Jeruk.
Meanwhile, another netizen named Bianca Rose also mentioned Foodpanda.
“Grab and Foodpanda riders are truly kind-hearted. If there’s a motorcycle breakdown or accident, bikers are usually the first to help, more than car drivers. I once had my bike stall, and some Foodpanda riders helped me get it started again,“ the netizen pointed out.
On the other hand, TikTok netizen ABG_MIE82 commented, “Well done!”
“Well done, lil’ brother! The best form of charity is giving food or drinks. May Allah bless you for your kindness. To abang traffic, stay safe on duty!” they posted.
Others were commenting “salute,” “God bless,” “sweet,” and so much more. The Ridesharing Forum team wishes there were more people like you. The world needs more people like that rider.
