More food delivery robots are coming to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and this is in partnership between Avride, Grubhub, and Wonder Food Halls! Here’s the scoop.
Wonder Food Halls, take it away!
People, get ready to see more food delivery robots coming to you in Philadelphia. Avride recently announced its newest partnership with Grubhub and its parent company’s division, Wonder Food Halls.
Avride is a technology company that develops autonomous cars, and self-driving delivery robots. Originally spun out of engineering teams from Yandex in 2017, Avride is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and operates as a subsidiary of Nebius Group.
Wonder Food Halls, also pertained to as Wonder Restaurants, is a technology-driven vertically-integrated food hall and delivery startup founded in 2018 by businessman Marc Lore. Right now, Wonder is the company behind Grubhub.
These companies are expecting to see dozens of additional restaurants to register once the delivery robots are moving already. However, there is no word yet on how many robots will be used to keep up with the order demand.
