Amazon Lands On Top 3 Most Admired Companies By Fortune Magazine For 10th Year

Despite Amazon Flex drivers complaining they are being treated like animals,” for the 10th year in a row, Amazon is named one of the top three most admired companies by Fortune, a renowned business magazine. It may not be the first choice, but this is still a great feat.

Amazon, the world’s number one eCommerce platform, managed to rank third on Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies in 2026.

They join the following companies on the list:

  • Apple
  • NVIDIA
  • Microsoft
  • American Express
  • JPMorgan Chase
  • Berkshire Hathaway
  • Costco Wholesale
  • Alphabet
  • Walmart

Big companies. This ranking was determined through a survey of top executives and analysts. The companies were evaluated based on nine criteria, which include innovation in products, innovation in services, management quality, and social responsibility commitment.

Amazon laid down various reasons why they think they made it to the list. These are: making customers’ lives easier, delivering disaster relief efforts, investing in employee education and skills training, fighting versus against food and housing insecurity, increasing pay and lowering health care costs for employees, creating lots of holiday jobs, expanding rural Amazon Prime deliveries, and building practical AI for teammates and customers.

“Amazon is committed to providing customers with great value through the lowest prices every day across the widest selection, plus extra savings for Prime members. We also improved shopping convenience with new AI tools, delivered for Prime members faster than ever, expanded Same-Day perishable grocery delivery, and offered even more choice across everyday essentials, health care, entertainment, and more,” Amazon stated on how it makes customers’ lives easier.

The company is also proud of its presence in disaster relief efforts, such as for those affected by California wildfires, the historic flooding in Washington, and so much more.

“We expanded Same-Day and Next-Day Delivery to thousands of smaller cities, towns, and rural communities across [the United States] to bring faster delivery to tens of millions of Prime members,” Amazon added.

Amazon’s years-long recognition by Fortune reflects the collective work its team commits and their long-term passion for introducing brand-new things on behalf of customers, supporting employees and partners, and investing in the communities where they operate.

They are claiming how customer expectations continue to evolve, with their core needs remaining similar: low prices, broad selection, and fast and reliable services.

Amazon remains committed to providing its customers with the best value through lowest prices each day across a wide catalog selection, plus savings and coupons for Amazon Prime members.

Amazon Flex is, of course, part of the success. It is a gig economy platform where independent contractors, known as Delivery Partners use their own cars to deliver Amazon packages and groceries on their own schedule, earning money by booking delivery “Blocks” through the app, which involves picking up items from a local hub and delivering them to customers.
