Amazon Flex Launches Features On The App To Help You Stay Safe During Deliveries

Have you experienced getting signed out from your Google accounts, accounts for personal use and those you use for work, despite not signing out yourself? Security breaches – some for uncompliant surveillance – are everywhere, and you must protect yourself.

To prevent this, ensure your browser is not clearing your login data, and that your account is not managed by an organization. So, that’s done.

Meanwhile, over on Amazon Flex, the company has recently unveiled latest features on the app to help drivers stay safe during deliveries.

“Road safety matters for you and the communities you deliver in. That’s why we’re always adding new features to the Amazon Flex app that help you stay aware and deliver with confidence,” Amazon Flex chatted with RSF.

So, which are these safety supplies?

Prior to starting

Before starting your delivery block, the app will highlight key alerts along your route to provide you with greater visibility, so you can plan ahead and stay safe.

These include school zones, unpaved roads, and railroad crossings. It will also alert you on risky intersections, weigh stations, and low-clearance areas.

For two-way stop intersections, there will also be indications, where only one direction has stop signs and the cross street does not. For nearby bike lanes, the reminders are on the road, next to the road, or in parking areas.

“Keep in mind that Amazon Flex maps may not capture all relevant updates. You may find that actual conditions differ from map results, so always stay alert and use your best judgment while driving,” Amazon Flex has clarified.

Share your feedback

Even more nice is that you can provide feedback on the Amazon Flex app navigation experience by clicking the cute Gear icon on the lower right-side corner of the Map View, then tap Report a Problem.

When the team has resolved the issue or got an update to share, they will send a message in the app’s Updates section.

According to CBS News, Amazon’s trucking contractor and personnel show higher rates of safety violations. They are more likely to find themselves speeding, texting, and doing other unsafe driving violations that were at least 89 percent higher than other carriers. This data makes Amazon’s ways to safety more relevant, useful, and important.

“Your safety is our top priority. We’re committed to helping create a safer environment for all road users and will continue to develop tools and new technologies that help keep you safe and deliver confidently during every block,” Amazon Flex pointed out.

Amazon Flex is Amazon’s delivery system that allows independent contractors to earn income by delivering packages using their own cars or those provided by third-party companies. Drivers choose available delivery blocks through the app, pick up packages from designated locations, and deliver them to customers. Earnings vary by location, block length, demand, and delivery performance. For more delivery news, keep it locked right here on RSF. Thank you for reading!
