Tracy, California, brace yourselves! Amazon delivery drones are soon coming to your space! Here’s the scoop.
It’s official! Amazon will soon launch one-of-a-kind drone delivery services in Tracy in the next months. The world’s biggest eCommerce platform is expanding this to a whopping 500 cities in the USA, not simply those in California.
Tracy, located in California, is a rapidly growing suburban city located in San Joaquin County, near the western edge of the Central Valley
Amazon flight operations coordinator Jared Podbielski told Ridesharingforum.com, The benefit of drone delivery is the speed. So we’re offering up to 30-minute deliveries for customers within the area, so over 1 million products are going to be available for the local community.
That is fantastic! The drones are going to be fully-electric, able to deliver packages that weigh up to five pounds in most locations within the seven-mile radius of Grant Line Road, where Amazon facilities are located.
The drones will rely on sensors to guide their flight path, and to avoid obstacles, thereby ensuring safe and efficient deliveries.
They will be operated under Prime Air, a division of Amazon that offers deliveries of daily essentials, including household goods, beauty items, and electronics, all via the Amazon official app.
Also, the community can preview the drone technology and how it works at the Sweet Dreams Car Show in downtown Tracy later today, Saturday, August 29th. Amazon’s Prime Air team will have a booth at the event where you can interact and communicate. Way to go, Amazon! You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare… either way, I don’t wanna wake up from you… somebody pinch me, your love’s too good to be true… it’s playing in your head, isn’t it? ‘Til then!
