No, it’s not even a publicity stunt, or a campaign for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organization, but it’s a real, real food delivery.
Another naked delivery guy, this time a Black guy who resembles the vibes of Tarzan, delivered a Burger King meal to a residence in Houston, as seen on the security camera of the customer.
The customer was Kiante Matlock, who told the RSF team, that he did not expect the delivery driver to drop-off his food, naked, especially since he’s also a guy, “which is crazy,” he stated.
“And then to handle somebody’s food… is ridiculous,” Matlock told the RSF correspondent. “[There] could have been an underage child coming to the door or a woman… It’s just sick.”
He further narrated how he was playing video games inside his residence when his daughter told him their delivery haved arrived after receiving a notification on their mobile. It was from Burger King.
Matlock checked first their Ring camera by the doorbell, and saw the driver completely naked! By the time the customer got to the door to fetch the food – he was at the very least willing to still get his food, haha! – the driver was gone.
However, they never ate the food, and DoorDash refunded them for that order.
This isn’t the first-time that the RSF team featured a news of delivery orders featuring naked people, but why would they do that, right? In a previous report, a scenario that also happened in Texas, particularly an incident in Tyler, Texas, a netizen shared how they witnessed a customer picking up their order naked. So yes, it’s the customer who is naked this time.
“Sometimes men open the door to female riders naked or in their underwear,” said Marina, the delivery driver who encountered the oddity. “One man I delivered food to tried to pull me inside his house. Another slapped me across the face in the street. Doing this job makes you feel that you are not a human being, just a delivery machine.”
The police in Houston are urging people to report these kinds of behavior and preserve the surveillance footage they caught, or other evidence. Depending on the situation, criminal charges can also be filed.
DoorDash also released their official statement on the matter, saying that this behavior is unacceptable.
“What this consumer experienced was abhorrent, and we’ve reached out directly to offer our support,” DoorDash stated. “This man’s behavior was vulgar and completely unacceptable, and as soon as we were made aware, our team permanently removed their access to our platform. We do not tolerate sexual harassment or misconduct of any kind, and we stand ready to assist law enforcement with any investigation.”
They also also urging customers to report such inappropriate + concerning behavior through the app, and to contact law enforcement agencies, including 9-1-1 in emergencies, should they feel unsafe.
