Now, Grubhub customers could also start enjoying the perks from National Retail Solutions. After partnering with DoorDash previously, they are with Grubhub already this time.
National Retail Solutions, otherwise pertained to as NRS, provides POS systems and digital payments processing for independent retailers, especially for small- to medium-sized businesses.
POS systems are crucial as they help manage sales and inventory. National Retail Solutions also includes a digital display network so advertisers could reach a multi-cultural shopper base, especially in urban locations. It has been said that NRS also offers merchandising and installation services for big retail clients and manufacturers.
Recently, the POS systems of National Retail Solutions are already connected with Grubhub. This way, customers could place orders for delivery or in-store pickup directly via the food delivery app.
According to the executives of National Retail Solutions, this partnership enhances not just the convenience, but the access to the freshest locally sourced produce.
Elie Katz, the CEO and founder of NRSPlus, a division of National Retail Solutions, spoke with Ridesharing Forum to share, “Fresh produce has always been a challenging category for independent retailers to deliver – it’s perishable, time-sensitive and relies on consumer trust in quality. That’s exactly why our integration with Grubhub and NRS is such a game-changer. It gives local stores the ability to showcase and deliver their produce quickly and reliably, helping them reach customers who want fresh fruits and vegetables without sacrificing convenience. We’re giving neighborhood grocers the same level of visibility and digital power that national chains have, and that means more people can access fresh, healthy food right from the stores they already know and trust.”
Some of the features and benefits of the partnership include:
- Streamlining the operations, as Grubhub orders would now flow directly into the POS system, eliminating clutter and simplifying workflows.
- Syncing menus and inventories in real-time, in such as way that price update and inventory changes recorded in Grubhub’s POS with NRS are automatically reflected on the menu on the food delivery app, ensuring accuracy in ordering.
- Reducing training, as everything works in the National Retail Solutions’ POS.
- Centralizing the management since retailers could manage menus, store hours, and analytics using the POS system.
Both Grubhub and NRS are happy about this partnership. For Grubhub’s Stephanie Grammel, director of integrations and solutions, embedding the two firms together is “making it easier for independent retailers to expand their reach, serve customers on their terms, and unlock new revenue streams – without adding operational complexity.”
“Local businesses are essential to the fabric of their communities, and this integration is about helping them thrive in a digital-first world,” Grammel pointed out regarding this tie-up.
National Retail Solutions’ eCommerce division agrees, saying that this resolves the pain points that small businesses encounter.
“We are eliminating the friction points that make it harder for small businesses to compete successfully in the delivery marketplace,” they stated. “Based on our results to date, on average, our retailers with the Grubhub integration are achieving significantly increased profitability with very strong ROIs."
