A Closer Look Inside ‘The Truth About Being Amazon Flex Driver’ Videos On YouTube

In this investigative edition of Ridesharing Forum, the team chanced upon these massive tons of YouTube videos created about Amazon Flex. So basically, people are eager to try driving for the platform, but they were commenting on how it works for them.

‘I Tried Amazon Flex in 2025… and It Got Weird’

In the first video to be featured, titled “I Tried Amazon Flex In 2025… And It Got Weird” by YouTuber Your Driver Mike, he walked viewers through the shift of being an Amazon Flex driver, discussing the pay, sorting packages, delivery instructions, interacting with customers, complete earnings breakdown, and so much more.

In his YouTube profile, Your Driver Mike he is a “side hustle expert bringing you weekly strategies to maximize your success in the gig economy and build multiple revenue streams.”

He started the video with him driving en route to the first delivery on a three-and-a-half-hour Amazon Flex shift.

“We’re gonna see if this side hustle is actually worth it,” he said.

What caught the attention of this team was his comments on Amazon Flex’s “predictable pay,” which is good, generally speaking.

“Yes, you’re getting predictable pay, let’s call it $23 in this shift… Now, there are no tips, but [at least] I know what I’m gonna make,” he told the viewers.

His verdict? Well, he was quipping and smiling at first, but he admitted, “it’s a bit worth it,” after all.

“Lucky you. I always have to drive 40 to 50 minutes to my first stop! Only do Flex sparingly,” @Realityof76 commented.

‘The Truth About Being an Amazon Flex Driver’

The second video, titled “The Truth about being an Amazon Flex Driver,” was a little bit creepy at first, thought it’s really going to lambast Amazon Flex, since there are no captions and outline leading you to the timestamps of the clip, unlike the previous video.

It was created by Zac Jones, who says in his YouTube profile that he lives in Liverpool, Great Britain.

At the end of his clip, his verdict was that his experience “is that that bad” at all, and even added saying, “I’m pretty sure it’s more for me.”

So that says a lot. He also has another video on his channel thanking Amazon.

“You’re doing good son, keep it up,” commented @BermondseyBoy.

‘This Shift Is Why I Quit Amazon Flex’

Now, this third video is probably going to lower your morale when it comes to Amazon Flex. Titled “This shift is why I quit Amazon Flex,” produced by YouTuber GoHerping, a 25-year-old from North Carolina.

“After [two years] of delivering Amazon packages in my own car, I’m finally hanging up my vest for good,” he wrote in the video caption.

Throughout the video, he’s heard complaining about the warehouse and the pay, unlike others above who are pretty satisfied of the whole process, generally.

It was also revealed on his page that he also quit Uber previously.

A comment, which was liked over 190 times, stated, “I swear support for gig apps just loves to avoid the work of processing a payment until you pull straight from their policy stating you need to be paid.”
