One thing that has helped me in these situations, especially at hotels, is to act like you are in a conversation on your phone. NO ONE likes to ever disrupt someone on the phone. I pretend I am discussing my location in the conversation and say “I just arrived at name of place and will see you in a few minutes” Act like you belong there and the minimum wage employee more than likely won’t give a crap to you giving a crap… Don’t forget to wash your hands…
Our walmart or mcdonalds restrooms are decent
IHOP and Dennys aren’t a bad second option as well
There is a provision under the ADA and another law called Ally’s Law to provide access to washrooms in any establishment. I know it is for medical reasons such as IBS etc… Just a thought…they dont know if you have a condition or not…

You do know that Shell has restrooms open to you, right? I like QT because they are the cleanest, but not available everywhere.
Hotels are always cleaner than gas stations. That was the point of the post.
And places that are open 24/7 versus the tree line or a Gatorade bottle…
And, that’s why I mentioned QuikTrip. Their always clean. But, they aren’t in Texas.
